Instrument Tech Job with On the Job Training, Days shifts 7a-3:30p, Central Sterilizing

Community Healthcare System is hiringa full-time instrument tech for days for central sterilizing Monday-Friday with rotating weekends at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

Central Sterilizing supports the Mission and Values of the Community Healthcare System. Instrument techs directly support surgical services by sterilizing instruments used for surgeries.

Instrument Tech Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the care, preparation, and maintenance of instruments, equipment, inventory and supplies in CSR and Clean Room of MOR.
• Cleans, decontaminates, identifies, inspects and assembles instrumentation for use in a sterile procedure.
• Sterilizes items and completes quality control checks as required. Ensures proper inventory levels. Assembles Surgical Case Carts.
• Tracks loaner instrumentation as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess effective reading and communication skills.
• Must possess a minimum of 1 year hospital sterilization or related experience.
