Ready to be a part of something big? The Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center provides training programs that help at-risk students obtain their high school diploma or an equivalency, industry-recognized certifications, and the life skills needed to be fully qualified for the job market.
MAIN DUTIES:
Academic Instructors for HSD/GED and Reading provide instruction in skills necessary to master academic competencies in a classroom setting. They monitor online high schools and online GED practice, provide engaging instruction, administer tests and evaluate progress in reading, writing, social studies, science and mathematics understanding and proficiency. They also identify and use appropriate materials for the students being taught and the established department goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree and Minnesota Teaching License. Concentration in Secondary or Adult Education is preferred. Advanced degree is highly desirable. Experience with at-risk or culturally diverse youth is advantageous. Regular Minnesota Driver's License
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
$45,000 to $50,000 per year with $3,000 sign-on bonus, plus 401(k), medical, dental, vision, STA, holidays and vacation
