Build a world-class group to deliver the highest quality safety and maintenance training information to students all over the world. This position will be responsible for the success of the delivery vision to instill a premier standard for instructors delivering technical knowledge during AVOs courses.
Responsibilities:
- Manage instructor assignments targeting revenue generation, profitability, and product improvements.
- Conduct instructor on boarding process to be both effective and time efficient.
- Provide technical support to Account Executives for custom course call reports requests.
- Deliver technical support to Curriculum Development Manager with development of course revisions or creations.
- Identify SME with assisting in review of standard or custom course creations and revisions.
- Conduct instructor review providing feedback to instructor for areas of positive feedback and areas of needed improvement.
- Provide technical support through training for SMEs with specific testing equipment used in labs.
- Verify course equipment lists provide optimal assets for course delivery to exceed customer expectations.
- Maintain Instructor teach list and qualifications ensuring that business needs are met.
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages growth and collaboration.
- Attend and present seminars at trade shows/conferences in support of AVO Training Institute.
- Create company credibility through membership of critical panels such as NFPA, IEEE, NETA, etc.
- Review instructor and student course evaluation reports to create follow up plan for improvement of content and delivery.
- Conduct instructor meetings to keep instructors updated on updated information.
- Review and approve instructor expense reports for clarity and accuracy.
- Review and approve instructor time sheets and PTO/Vacation requests.
- Perform annual employee performance evaluations.
- Assist the Logistics Department in equipment identification, preparation, packaging, and repair.
- Interview SME's as potential AVO Instructor candidates.
- Work with Learning Technologies Manager to streamline and automate processes within AVO to optimize workflow.
- May be needed to substitute as primary Instructor at times when needed.
- Coordinate activities with various Megger departments to enhance relationships within the company.
- Active member of the IACET Management Team.
- Any other duties as needed or directed by the Director of Training Operations
Qualifications
- Associates degree in adult education is preferred.
- A background in technical writing and instructional design is preferred.
- At least 10 years of management skills is required.
- Docebo LMS systems experience is preferred.
- In-depth background in CONCUR and PAYCOM.
- Microsoft Word, Power Points and Excel experience is required.
- Strong electrical and safety knowledge with industrial, utility, and residential perspectives.
- Comprehensive experience with NFPA, OSHA, NETA and IEEE.
- Exceptional analytical, communication and quantitative skills.
- Experience working with and managing cross-functional teams.
- Good time management and interpersonal skills.
