Position Summary:
The Department of Geosciences within the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science (COS) at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure track faculty position at the Instructor level beginning in the Fall Semester of 2024
Teaching Responsibilities - Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Physical Geology/Evolution of the Earth, Mineralogy, Petrology of Igneous and Metamorphic Rocks, Geology Field Camp/Courses, and special topic undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate's area of specialization. The candidate should show clear promise of excellent instructional capacity. They should be able to demonstrate their ability to understand cultural and learning differences among students and be able to foster and create educational opportunities where all students can thrive.
Service Responsibilities - Candidates are expected to serve on Departmental, College and University committees, and provide professional service to external entities related to their field of expertise.
