Dance Instructor: Pre-Ballet And Acro

Teaching Hours: Tuesdays Pre Ballet 3:00-3:50pm and Pre-Acro 4:00-4:50pm

At Chace Dance Company we are seeking a skilled and passionate dance teacher to join our team for Pre-Ballet and Pre-Acro. Hourly teaching rates start at $30 an hour and go up depending on experience.

As a CDC dance teacher, you will be responsible for instructing students ages 3 ½ to 6 years old in Ballet and Acro dance. Good news! All class plans are already pre-made for you! We do require teachers to follow our CDC Syllabus, which we believe helps the teacher by taking the guesswork out of creating class plans from scratch.

We are looking for a dance teacher that truly enjoys training Pre-levels. Our perfect candidate would be somebody that is energized by helping our youngest students grow and develop through intentional and engaging instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach the lesson plans that align with the studio's pre-made curriculum and standards
• Teach proper Ballet and Acro dance techniques with safety and health as a top priority
• Provide positive and constructive feedback to young dancers to help them improve their skills and abilities
• Create a safe and welcoming learning environment that encourages student creativity and self-expression
• Oversee recital rehearsals (all recital choreography is already complete) and ensuring that students are prepared and confident
• Assist with the Annual Recital June 1st, 2024 at Lake Nona High School
• For interested candidates, we have an in-depth list of attributes that we seek from our dance teachers covered in our official “Instructor’s Agreement.” Interviewees will be able to review this agreement before accepting the position.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in dance or a related field preferred
• Preferably over age 25
• If you have kids, we consider that a bonus for nurturing and developing young dancers.
• Previous experience teaching dancers ages 3 ½ to 7 years old.
• Strong knowledge of dance pedagogy methods and proper technique
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills geared towards young dancers
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with students, parents, and other studio staff members
• Passionate and enthusiastic about dance education
