Job Description
GA-CCRi is seeking a mid-level Instructional Designer and articulate communicator to help develop documentation and education materials to boost user experience of a web-based software platform. GA-CCRi applies innovative data science, scalable software engineering, and advanced visualization to create global situational awareness tools that support a wide range of users and use cases. Accordingly, the ideal candidate will possess not only exceptional writing and communication skills, but also an ability to create online learning material for both technical and non-technical audiences in multiple mediums. Such learning experiences may come in the form of e-learning, user guides, instructional videos, in-platform instructions, and job aids. The ideal candidate has experience creating engaging user experiences through sound instructional design and UX/UI design principles. This position requires working collaboratively with customers, software developers, Subject Matter Experts, QA/Testing, Product Management, and users to understand training and documentation requirements. Job duties also include continuously editing and revising content to ensure users have the best possible experience with a changing product.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including willingness and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management
· Develop user guides, videos, FAQs, job aids, and other online user help and learning material
· Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality
· Develop and design online training courses and curriculum.
· Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.
· Write and edit scripts for video and audio content.
· Develop instructor manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
· Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability.
· Work with Product Owners to identify when better training versus improved UI/UX design is needed to help improve the user experience.
· Coordinate with the UI/UX team to help with user acceptance testing of new software features and capabilities.
· Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users.
· Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a solid foundation in instructional design, design thinking, and a desire to continue learning. Knowledge in the following areas is required:
· Previous experience in instructional design
· User-facing documentation writing: user guides, instructor guides, training videos, tutorials, job aids
· Experience implementing learning evaluation strategies
· Storyboarding
· e-Learning, instructor-led, and blended course creation
· Microsoft Office products
· Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Teaching, or equivalent in professional experience
· May substitute equivalent professional experience in lieu of education/training.
· An active TS/SCI clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in the following areas is preferred:
· Articulate Storyline
· Camtasia or similar video production software
· Moodle or other learning management system
· Working knowledge of HTML or Sphinx
· Defense and Intelligence: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, SIGINT, Cyber

Salary Range: $96,180 - $172,163*
