Position Description
The Department of Management in the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a full-time Instructional Assistant Professor to teach Business Law to undergraduate students starting in August, 2024.
Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Business Law, law related to Entrepreneurship, or other courses as assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and Chair of the Department of Management. This teaching load for this position will be 4/4 (12 credit hours in the fall and 12 credit hours in the spring), with the option to teach summer courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability.
Required Qualifications: To be considered, applicants must have earned a Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university. Preference for applicants who have relevant professional experience related to the legal environment of Business; prior teaching experience in Business Law; demonstrated familiarity with technology and entrepreneurial ventures. An ability to publish in professional or academic outlets so as to maintain academic qualifications is a major plus.
