Responsible for fielding and handling customer accounts not assigned to specific outside Sales Representative.
This position would oversee Inside Sales activities for the Capital District covering Virginia and Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Take orders from customers
- Work with dispatch regarding scheduling and entering sales orders into JDE
- Responsible for daily edits and resolving customer issues
- Set up orders for cash sales and interplant sales
- Assisting Sales Manager with other duties as needed
- Positively represent Martin Marietta in all aspects of sales position
- Complete other administrative functions related to sales
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Sales/Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic understanding of various product lines (stone, sand & gravel), and some understanding of applications for those products
- Basic understanding of the production process, production capabilities, and material inventories a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to be responsive, professional, assist with conflict resolution, and ask questions to successfully complete order
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy leading to improved efficiency and productivity
- Solid organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task as needed
- Willing to work flexible hours when necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
