Responsibilities & Duties:
- Quotes – Utilize price sheet and know each customer’s discount/multiplier; look for any solution to offer customer best lead times, including product alternatives; utilize quote template to include complete descriptions and Vogt/OMB terms and conditions for each quote; enter all quotes into Smartsheet with attached quotes; provide as many details to quotes as possible and be diligent in your entries.
- Work with Order Entry – Sign off on POs after checking pricing, lead times, material descriptions, shipping information, correct vendor information, etc.; make sure each order meets our minimum order requirements; Inside Sales to enter any same day shipments in QX, as well as create an LP for those orders; Send VCR requests to Engineering team on any items that require codes that are not in the system.
- Expediting of orders that are assigned to you – get detailed information from Planning/Scheduling team to provide accurate ETAs to the customer; stay on top of orders that are coming due or are running late and keep customer informed of any updates.
- Work with Engineering on any alternatives or new design valves that are being offered to obtain drawings and item codes.
- Customer Service-related tasks.
- Work with RMA group to make sure to fill out the CCR log with all order information, customer comments/emails, re-stocking fees, credits, etc.; attach any emails that correspond with the RMA request in the CCR log and send an email to RMAs with the CCR#.
- Be a Team player and support others within your group, as well as other departments.
- Communicate any customer issues that require additional attention with Inside Sales Manager.
- Work with Logistics team on any missing information or needed changes on orders that require your attention.
- Have knowledge of products that you are representing – access to catalog information.
- Quote turnaround time to be no more than 24-48 hours. If more time is required, you must communicate with the customer.
- Reading and understanding of drawings and specifications.
- Utilize your time efficiently during your work schedule.
Requirements:
- · Ability to read drawings and specifications a plus, but not required
- · Ability to translate skills and knowledge to others
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- High School Diploma is required.
- 1+ years in oil & gas industry is recommended.
- Valve experience a strong plus, but not required.
- Some Sales experience is recommended.
- Ability to work as a team player, internally and with outside customers.
- Excellent communication skills – e-mails, on the phone, and in person.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to learn and work in the following: EXCEL, WORD, Database System – Quasar X, SMARTSHEET, and other computer-based software / hardware / languages
