At Social High Rise, we are a team of seasoned social media professionals dedicated to empowering restaurants across the United States. By partnering with restaurant owners and operators, we take on the digital customer service and social media management load so they can focus on running their show. A Bit of Background
Founded in 2012, our headquarters is situated in the heart of downtown Chico, CA, within a historic 100+-year-old building's old "grand ballroom." As a small, homegrown agency, our team members tend to stick around for the long haul. We're a hybrid organization, with some working remotely, and others, like our sales team, based in our Chico office.
Our weekly "team time" via Zoom allows us to celebrate milestones, acknowledge achievements, and laugh at our own blunders - because, hey, we all make mistakes! Occasionally, we'll snap screenshots during meetings for some extra fun, and if it's your birthday, you'll likely be serenaded by our enthusiastic voices.

SEEKING AMBITIOUS 2023 FALL INTERNS! Over the years, we've had the privilege of mentoring numerous exceptional interns, and we've meticulously crafted our Sales Internship to ensure participants gain vital skills and experiences to enhance their resumes.
Our Inside Sales Internship offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for those eager to learn. As an intern, you will support our dedicated sales team in acquiring new clients for Social High Rise. You'll be trained in social media philosophy as it pertains to restaurants, and you'll undergo comprehensive sales training to master lead qualification, objection handling, closing strategies, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline via phone and email. This internship is ideal for individuals intrigued by the social media industry, social media marketing, Inside Sales, and startup culture.
To maximize your experience, we recommend a commitment of two semesters (Spring, Summer, or Fall). Historically, interns have seen their earnings double during their second semester, providing them with a more extensive sales experience to showcase on their resumes - a quality highly valued by many companies. Upon completing two semesters, interns may be considered for full-time Sales Executive positions with Social High Rise after graduation. Embark on this rigorous yet fulfilling journey with us and set yourself up for future success.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Partnering with the Social High Rise sales team at our Chico Headquarters office a minimum of 12 hours per week on a consistent, pre-determined schedule - punctuality and dedication are extremely important. WEDNESDAY MORNING AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED!
- WORK ETHIC! Averaging 20-30 calls per hour
- Following a written script to assist you in having successful prospecting calls
- Sending appointment reminder emails to qualified leads
- Sending email campaigns to nurture leads
- Learn and practice how to quickly overcome objections, closing techniques, and persuasive sales psychology
- Bringing an attitude of hustle every day
- Rigorously tracking sales activity
- Analyzing personal performance to find ways to improve
- Shadowing the Social High Rise team to learn sales and business-related skills that can be applied to future career opportunities.
DEFINITION OF SUCCESS:
- Qualify 8+ leads per month
- Schedule solid appointments with qualified prospects to speak with a Sales Executive
COMPENSATION:
- $20-$80 per qualified appointment set (increases with volume over the semester)
- Bonuses for hitting personal and team goals
