What you will do as an Inside Sales Engineer
We are looking for a knowledgeable and team oriented Inside Sales Engineer who will work closely with Sales, Engineering and Operations team to support company growth by uncovering and securing project opportunities with new and current customers. This Inside Sales Engineer is pivotal contributor to our business process and plays an important role in offering engineering, company, and customer expertise. The key to success of an Inside Sales Engineer is the ability to formulate an effective strategy which allows for winning projects, achieving acceptable profitability, and ensuring successful project management and execution.
Key Responsibilties of the Inside Sales Engineer:
• Perform technical review of specifications related to quote requests and provide accurate and timely proposals.
• Interface with customers, representatives, and distributors to gather all the technical information to meet customer and application requirements.
• Provide support on all product quotes and projects, working with engineers at the factory on all non-standard equipment. Liaise with operations and customers to ensure communications are clearly defined and understood.
• Provide project management support to customers after products are ordered to ensure documentation requirements and timelines are met.
• Perform technical review of orders and work with customers/distributors to resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in technical sales requirements for new application of Universal Analyzers equipment in new and/or existing applications.
• Provides customer support via email and phone communication.
• Writes proposals and standard product quotations.
• Enters new orders from customer and eCommerce website into the ERP.
Requirements of the Inside Sales Engineer:
· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related
· 2 - 4 years of related experience as a Sales Engineer, applications engineer, Inside Sales, estimating, engineering technical support, field service, project engineer, preferably with industrial and/or manufacturing applications.
· Previous experience communicating technical concepts with client and ability generate open dialogue with clients and with team members.
· Knowledge of analytical methods relating to Universal Analyzers products, environmental regulations and hazardous area classifications with process knowledge including chemical/petrochemical production, power generation, and related industries
· Proficient with Microsoft Office software package – strong Microsoft Access skills preferred.
· Experience with EPICOR (ERP system) preferred.
