What you will do:

• As a team member, perform work on assigned projects. Work is highly technical and includes but is not limited to:
  1. Transportation demand modeling using advanced software such as VISUM, CUBE, TransCAD.
  2. Traffic operations analysis using mesoscopic and microsimulation tools such as VISSIM, TransModeler, CORSIM.
  3. Develop and manage regional transportation models.
  4. Perform Traffic and Revenue forecast for multimodal transportation projects.
  5. Perform concept development, evaluation, and prioritization on multi-disciplinary transportation projects.
  6. Perform crowd management studies using state of the art software such as Legion, Viswalk.
  7. Apply innovative techniques to solve complex problems.
  8. Working with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, VBA.
• Manage, or assist in managing projects.
• Provide subject matter advice.
• Conduct research and make presentations at local and national professional forums to advance the knowledge base in the field of transportation.
• Mentor, train and supervise junior staff.

What you will bring:

• A master’s degree or Ph.D., and a minimum of 10 years of industry and academic experience is required for this position.
• Candidate must have hands-on experience with the latest, advanced Traffic Modeling and simulation tools and methodologies.
• Experience with computer programming languages is highly desirable.
• Candidate must show history of active contribution to the field of practice by conducting and/or overseeing original work, writing and publishing papers, conducting peer reviews of research performed by others, and actively participating in professional organizations.
