We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infusion Nurse. As an Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medications and fluids through intravenous (IV) infusion to patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients who require specialized care. The postion is based on Chaska and Edina Locations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient's condition during infusion therapy
- Prepare and administer medications and fluids via IV infusion according to physician orders
- Monitor and maintain accurate documentation of patient's response to treatment
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care techniques
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an infusion or critical care setting
- Proficient in IV insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices
- Ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement appropriate interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Skills:
- Proficient in vital signs assessment
- Experience with phlebotomy procedures
- Knowledge of medication administration through IV infusion
- Familiarity with infection control protocols
- Experience in memory care, ophthalmology, or ambulatory surgery center settings is a plus
