This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
Under the general direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Supervisor I oversees the Production Support Team which consists of 5 Information Technology Associate Analysts. The IT Supervisor I, evaluates and updates duty statements, establishes performance expectations, completes individual development plans, completes probationary reports on a timely basis, adheres to the State's progressive discipline policy, makes informed administrative and personnel management decisions in accordance with department and state policies, personnel-related laws, rules, established DMV administrative processes and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements. Ensures staff comply with all DMV policies, office standard operating procedures, and department and agency protocols. Leads and/or directs the elicitation and documentation of business problems, objectives and goals for Information Technology (IT) efforts and projects approved through the intake process. Manages and oversees workload and staff resources to ensure successful outcome of current and future projects.

Working Conditions
Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency.
Works in a climate controlled building with heating and air conditioning. Works in an office setting, in a cubicle as well as in meeting rooms. Will be sitting and using a computer including keyboard, mouse and monitor for long periods of time. Regularly attends meetings throughout the workday. Uses stairs or passenger elevator in a multi-floor building. Assists in maintaining a hazard-free work environment. Will be required to work off hours for production projects and assignments. Will be required to carry a state issued cell phone for 24/7 assistance.

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a recognized leader in public service and has existed for over 100 years. The DMV is responsible for registering approximately 36 million vehicles in California, and serving 30 million driver license and identification card holders, collecting over $11 billion in annual revenue.
