Information Technology Specialist

This is a job skill that is performed in the US Army or Army Reserves as a Soldier. Enlisting is required and will undergo pre-qualifying questions, an interview, an academic test, and a physical. This is an initial entry job skill, no experience is necessary. The US Army will send you to school to learn the job and get the necessary certifications.

OVERVIEW:
Information Technology Specialists are responsible for maintaining, processing, and troubleshooting military computer systems/operations.
 
 JOB DUTIES:

 REQUIREMENTS:
Those who want to serve must first take a series of tests that helps you better understand your strengths and identify which Army jobs are best for you.
 
 Ages 17-34; 35-39 Requires a Waiver.
 
 TRAINING:
Job training for an Information Technology Specialist requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training with on-the-job instruction.
 

 HELPFUL SKILLS:

 REQUIRED ASVAB SCORE(S)Skilled Technical (ST): 95.

 COMPENSATION:
