Position Summary:
The EDI Manager will work as part of a team to support existing EDI process, onboard new trading partners, and modify existing interfaces to meet customers new requirements. This position will drive execution success with our VAN and will also work closely with our ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012). Having the skills to troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment as well as dig into technical issues is a key to success. The EDI Specialist must also have the desire to reach out of their comfort zone and grow into other areas of the business to help contribute to the success of the IT department and ultimately support the stability of the entire organization.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
• Supporting production integrations in accordance with a 3rd party VAN
• Work with EDI teams in the Food and Beverage Sector to coordinate the most effective communication between parties.
• Build an understanding of a constantly evolving CPG footprint
• Manage data and configurations in an ERP and become an expert in the mechanics of execution
• Work directly with end-users to identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues across multiple software platforms
• Be a hybrid of business knowledge and technology to serve as a liaison between the development group, external vendors and system users
• Analyze problems to help find the best solution
• Ability to thoroughly and completely document systems and processes
• Perform application configuration, research and development to facilitate new functionality
• Ensure all system issues are logged, prioritized and tracked through the resolution stage while escalating critical issues
• Participate in the software development lifecycle to assist projects of varying sizes through the proper channels
Position Qualifications:
• Systems Integration experience
• Knowledge of EDI
• Experience working with XML, Microsoft SQL, SSIS, SSRS or Flat File Integrations
• Desire and ability to dig into and understand issues technical in nature
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple support and development requests effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to be part of a team supporting a 24x7 Operations environment
• Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to be on call
• Willingness to travel as work necessitates (0-10%)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or IT related field preferred
