Information Systems Security Officer (Isso)

Overview

JST is currently seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).

This is a full-time position located in San Antonio, TX. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

ISSO Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority on all matters related to system security, ensuring compliance with RMF and FISMA guidelines.
• Implement and enforce mandatory access control techniques, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate system vulnerabilities, proposing and implementing effective countermeasures.
• Collaborate with the software development and IA teams, ensuring security considerations are integrated into all phases of development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats and devise strategies to counteract them.

ISSO Qualifications

• Any approved Identity and Access Management (IAM) Level II Certification: CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP or Associate, or GSLC
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 5-years experience as an ISSO
• Minimum 5-years experience with managing teams in a similar environment
• Minimum 5-years management and practical experience in conducting Certification and Accreditation (RMF A&A) in a DoD environment
• Security+ (Comp TIA) certification

ISSO Desired Qualifications

• Minimum 10-years of experience as an ISSO or experience in a similar technical area

Required Clearances and Screenings

• MUST have an active Secret clearance or higher
• MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
