Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system and cloud architecture—you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering and architecture skills to lead the design and development of secure cloud systems for the DoD? We’re looking for an architect who can create secure cloud solutions for the DoD that will withstand even the most advanced cyber threats.
As a lead cyber cloud engineer and solutions architect at Booz Allen, you’ll design secure cloud solutions to support mission-critical operations. You’ll coordinate work with CSPs and internal R&D and delivery teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT needs and goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solutions, so you’ll advise on new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll guide the team through a critical approach to network and cloud design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs.
This is a chance to lead a team to make a difference in the security of warfighter operations. You’ll oversee efforts to help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like zero-trust solutions and multi-cloud deliveries . You’ll broaden your skillset into areas like edge security while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to use cybersecurity solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges.

You Have:
10+ years of experience in information security with a focus on cloud Security Architecture
5+ years of experience with delivering holistic cloud security solutions with platforms, such as AWS or Azure
Experience with security standards and frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks
Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and their native security tools
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and solutions, including encryption, authentication, intrusion detection, and firewalls
Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to lead security practitioners or cross-functional teams supporting complex cloud security deliveries
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
DoD 8140 IAM III Certification, such as CISSP
Nice If You Have:
Experience with delivering multi-cloud solutions in complex government environments
Knowledge of secure cloud scripting processes, such as HashiCorp or Terraform
Ability to lead teams across multiple services, in dynamic and varying compliance and security environments
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Cloud Security Certification, including CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or AWS Security
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
