Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking an Information Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain systems and associated applications, services, and components. The selected candidate will assist with the design and implementation of contractual requirements from our customers and help improve our engineering processes. Candidate will also review existing systems to ensure proper configuration and security. This is an on-site, non-remote position for our North Logan, UT location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follows all applicable SDL engineering processes
- Supports system administrators as-needed
- Assists in the installation and configuration of Information Systems and components
- Responsible for documentation of assigned systems and solutions
- Responsible for the design and implementation of Information Systems
- Evaluates and recommends alternative solutions
- Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services
- Conducts research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards
- Provides work leadership to other members of the team
- Coordinates with others to meet product design goals
- Reviews and assists in enhancing current engineering processes
- Provides technical expertise on projects
- Serves as a peer reviewer for complex Information Systems designs
- Provides technical input on proposal efforts
- Ability to present at technical conferences or meetings
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
- 10+ years IT professional experience
- Possess a working knowledge of networking, systems, cyber, and/or cloud technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform engineering trade-offs between customer requirements, schedule deadlines, program funding, and engineering best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment on collaborative efforts involving both internal and external team members
- Competent in managing budgets and schedule
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance (TS/SCI)
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be able to travel, though not a normal expectation
- DoD 8140 compliant (or able to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with diagramming tools (i.e., Visio)
- Prior engineering experience designing systems
- Active TS/SCI w/ adjudicated polygraph (please disclose any clearance when applying as all are beneficial)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to solve large and complex issues
