HMIS Specialist

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree is preferred as is two years of related data management and training experience.
Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of general information system functions, capabilities, characteristics, and limitations of PC software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, and charting. Ability to communicate effectively with team member staff and customer groups, conduct customer training clearly and effectively, prepare accurate documents and reports, and extensively travel to locations in north central, and southeast Oklahoma.
Physical Requirements: Ability to move about the building and community throughout the day. Must be able to drive a car and travel to customer locations in north central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma. Vision and hearing as are sufficient to carry out tasks and engage in conversation are necessary.
General Description: The HMIS Specialist is responsible for providing user support for all agencies and stakeholders utilizing the ShareLink HMIS. Duties include troubleshooting for HMIS systems end-users and effectively communicating/coordinating with the vendor to provide user support. Additional duties include validating data and providing training to agencies and stakeholders on how to utilize HMIS ShareLink effectively and optimally.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Manage relationships with regional partners in north central, and southeast Oklahoma.
2. Coordinate with HMIS-participating agencies to execute HMIS agreements.
3. Report HMIS data for Continuum of Care (CoC) meetings and various regional locations.
4. Manage relationship with WellSky and Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa regarding software vendor and charges.
5. Communicate HMIS goals, procedures, and policies and monitor compliance.
6. Conduct training for new HMIS users.
7. Manage system users and oversee data collection for each location.
8. Communicate data issues to HMIS users.
9. Research and remain updated on HUD’s Data and Technical Standards.
10. Ensure users are implementing HUD’s Data and Technical Standards.
11. Serve as HMIS lead agency representative on the HMIS Committee for the North Central Oklahoma, Northeast Oklahoma, and the Southeastern Oklahoma CoCs.
12. Work with CoC leadership to prepare and submit annual System Performance Measures report, Point in Time Count, Housing Inventory Count, Longitudinal Systems Analysis report, and other HUD and Federal partner required data submissions.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
