JST is currently seeking an Information Security Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time remote position. Information Security SpecialistResponsibilities
- The information Security Risk Specialist will understand applicable policies, discover cyber risks, and develop mitigation plans.
- They will work with clients to ensure systems are secure. Design, implement, and manage procedures to ensure cloud security. Conduct security assessments on DoD cloud environments using the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Provide guidance on procedures to ensure compliance within an accreditation boundary.
- Implement security strategies to control and manage organizational information risks.
- Assess information systems to determine risk exposures and develop documentation addressing system security requirements.
- Enhance Information Security education within the organization and team.
- Monitor the latest security technology to ensure that project personnel remain in the know.
- Direct investigations on security violations, provide analysis, and update methods of control.
- Consult on highly technical and complex tasks while providing direction to security analysts and other members of the larger team.
- Monitor and govern daily sensitive activities and security issues to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and policy compliance on the execution of security operations and controls.
Information Security SpecialistQualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity role with DoD RMF accreditation processes
- Experience with all phases and tasks associate with the Risk Management framework and Assessment and Authorization activities needed to obtain and maintain an ATO
- Experience with STIGs, NIST SP 800 series, eMASS/XACTA, ACAS, PPSM, HBSS and vulnerability scoring
- Experience working in cloud environments
- Experience with implementing and maintaining security controls
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standard and industry best practices
- Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance
- Ability to develop technical documentation
Information Security SpecialistDesired Skills
- Experience with Salesforce/SaaS platform cyber security
- Experience with federal government or healthcare IT
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Required Clearances and Screenings
- Must be able to successfully complete a Tier 1 Department of Defense Personnel Investigation, demonstrating reliability, trustworthiness, and integrity.'
- Must have active Security + Certification or equivalent
