Job Summary:

This is not a remote position
The Arizona Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for a highly motivated, detailed oriented, self-driven individual to join our Information Services team as a Senior Information Security Analyst. This position will report directly to the IT Manager.
This position will work within the guidelines of established methods; obtain, clarify and provide information with established parameter.


Job Duties:

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's systems and data.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and remediation actions.
  • Configure and Monitor Cloud Security - Set up and manage security controls within the cloud environment.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and anomalies. Implement best practices for cloud security, such as identity and access management (IAM) policies.
  • Plan and execute the migration of on-premises systems to the public cloud while ensuring data security and integrity. Collaborate with relevant teams to assess and mitigate potential security risks during migration.
  • Implement secure configurations for various cloud services, such as virtual machines, databases, and containers. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security.
  • Gather security requirements from stakeholders and ensure adherence to security policies and procedures. Provide accurate and timely security-related information to teams and management.
  • Assess security risks and prioritize tasks based on their potential impact on the organization's security posture. Develop security project plans and timelines to ensure efficient execution.
  • Analyze security processes and practices to identify areas for improvement. Propose and implement security solutions that optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Address IT security incidents and breaches promptly, coordinating response and recovery efforts. Provide exceptional customer service and support for security-related inquiries.
  • Incorporate robust code security measures for internally developed applications, meticulously verifying code integrity and proactively addressing potential vulnerabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • General working knowledge of INFORMATION SECURITY technologies and best practices in the areas of risk assessment.

Selective Preference(s):

Certified Information Systems Auditor

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience in INFORMATION SECURITY analysis (or equivalent experience)
Valid Driver’s License

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
