Information Review And Release Analyst

As an Information and Review Release Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the case management and treatment of documents related to litigation cases (i.e. civil or criminal cases) in support of the mission!Click APPLY to be contacted about this position and find out more details.What You Will Be Doing:

• Thoroughly researching the substance and overall context of relevant documents and making the appropriate redactions based on the criteria of Executive Order (EO) 13526, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the Privacy Act (PA).
• Providing the rationale for redactions using legally defined exemption codes.
• Providing recommendations for release of the documents.
• Recording decisions in the appropriate system.
• Researching previous release decisions to ensure accuracy and consistency in recommendations.
• Drafting formal memos.
• Organizing case documents for legal counsel's review, providing counsel with an overview of the case, and answering any questions they may have.

Must Have:

• MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working in a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs and Executive Order (EO) 13526 directive.
• Solid knowledge of the intelligence community with developed analytical skills background.
• Proficiency in on-line tools such as MS Word, Excel, and Access, and other required systems to be able to perform the duties.
• Knowledge of legal terminology, such as used in the role of paralegal, police enforcement, security, or court systems.
• Ability to assist with process improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor's degree and/or high school diploma.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of customer culture and procedures.
• A minimum of five years of customer or Intelligence Community (IC) experience with Executive Order (EO) 13526 (or EO 12958 as amended); and five (5) years of experience with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or Privacy Act (PA).
