Info Security Sys Engineering

Akkodis is looking for an experienced Information Security Systems Engineer to join our Client's team in Melbourne FL. The successful candidate will work on-site with our client, contributing to the delivery of high-quality security services.
Responsibilities:

• Configure and set up firewalls and intrusion detection systems

• Respond to network intrusions and perform forensic investigation

• Test new or upgraded hardware and software and implement new technologies

• Create test plans which will allow for a proper evaluation of security issues for new hardware and software

• Identify security solutions and implement a multi-layered defense to protect the networks

• Serve as the point of contact and liaison between Client Managed Security Service Provider and Client

• Provide Tier 2 support for service desk

• Project Manager for projects as assigned

• Create and document procedures regarding Information Security standards within the organization

• Monitor the health and analyze performance of the Information Security environment

Skills:

• TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH, etc.

• Windows, Linux, macOS, etc.Firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, antivirus software, etc.Wireshark, tcpdump,nmap,Nessus , OpenVAS,Burp Suite,Cybersecurity frameworks: ISO 27001,NIST Cybersecurity Framework ,COBIT,JIRA ,Asana ,Trello,

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT Security with at least four years related experience. They have a minimum of two years' experience in network security engineering field performing specification selection evaluation testing deployment operation of security devices including but not limited to Firewalls Routers Switches IDS WAF VPN technologies. They have excellent communication skills with proficiency in customer tailored NIST and FISMA controls as well as collecting system logs event data performing engineering analysis to determine system security function performance compliance. Prior federal telecommunications network security experience is a plus. CompTIA Security+ certification CCNA or CISSP certification preferred.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
