Summary
Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring an effective organization-wide Infection Control/employee health program. Serve as co-chairperson on the Infection Control Committee to assist the committee in achieving goals and objectives as stated in committee plan. Assist in overseeing corporate wide employee health services to ensure that the organization meets CARF, OSHA, ISDH and TJC standards and regulations pertaining to Infection Control and employee health issues.

- Conduct initial and annual TB screenings.
- Administer initial and follow-up Hepatitis B vaccinations.
- Assist the Executive Director of Medical Services and the Chief Medical Officer in monitoring compliance with screenings, vaccinations and mandated training. Keep required records to accomplish the monitoring.
- Conduct mandated initial and annual training in Infection Control/employee health issues.
- Provide other Infection Control/employee health training in response to identified staff need.
- Assist the Infection Control/Employee Health office in implementing and administering Infection Control/employee health policy and procedures.
- Monitor assigned service areas for compliance with CARF, OSHA, ISDH and TJC regulations and participate in the Environment of Care Survey Team.
- Assist Executive Director of Medical Services and the Chief Medical Officer with implementation and monitoring of all aspects of the corporate Infection Control Plan.
- Serves as member of the HCI Health and Wellness Panel.
- Serves as resource Health Consultant for the Early Head Start Program in the absence of the Executive Director of Medical Services
- Serve as co-chairperson of the Infection Control Committee; provide required quality reports.
- Serves on the Safety & Security committee.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification/ Requirement s
- Ability to work flexible schedule as outlined in job description.
- Demonstrated skills in teaching/training, written and oral communication, basic math and statistics and time management.
- Basic knowledge of epidemiological principles, including universal precautions, air and bloodborne pathogens.
- Maintain at least five continuing education units per year in topics prescribed by Supervisor.
- Experience in Infection Control and/or employee health preferred.
- Reliable transportation required and willingness to use in work capacity.
- Daytime traveling required, infrequent overnight traveling.
Certificates, Licenses, Registered
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana and maintain current and continual licensure.
- Current TB screening and administration certification.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- CPR/First Aid/AED instructor
