This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of an effective facility-wide Infection Control program to ensure compliance with Centers for Disease Control (CDC), The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational safety and Health administration (OSHA), Title 22 and other regulatory agencies. The Infection Control Coordinator contributes to plans and programs designed to reduce the risk of hospital acquired infections for patients and staff of AHMC-Anaheim Regional Medical Center ("AHMC-ARMC"). The position is responsible for collecting and entering data for the ICP Program, including all regulatory and project-related data. The ICP Data Coordinator supports Infection Control process improvement efforts that are identified concurrently.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field preferred
Minimum two years' acute care experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge related to epidemiology principles, infectious disease process, disinfection practices, and public health reporting.
Understanding of patient care practices.
Working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and statistical applications required.
Certified in Infection Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) is preferred or required certification in Infection Prevention and control within twenty- four (24) months from hire.
