The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field
- Within 1 year of hire National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
- Within 1 year of hire National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
- One year: Healthcare Experience
- One year: Epidemiology Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree: Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field
- Four years: Healthcare Experience
- Two years: Epidemiology Experience
