Title:Infant Assistant Teacher
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Shifts: Flexible (7 AM - 5 PM)
Location: 14050 E 8 Mile Rd, Detroit, MI 48205

The ideal Assistant Infant Teacher will have a loving demeanor with experience with state regulations, classroom experience, and CPR certification. All candidates must pass the national criminal background check. Remember, students are the centerpiece of our business, and your desire to make them successful is the priority.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Instruct and organize infant-toddler-aged children in activities designed to promote routine and structure, must have great classroom management skills
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop hands-on learning to ensure adequate physical activity, cognitive, language, social and emotional and creative development
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with both students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Infant Assistant Teacher Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in an accredited Early Childhood Program
- Willing to pursue classes in Early Childhood Education, as required by the program
- Strong written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to establish supportive relationships with staff and families from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to professionally interact with people of various cultural and social backgrounds
- Ability to utilize basic office equipment and learn how to enter data
- Ability to work within a team environment as a cooperative and supportive team member
- Ability to sit on the floor and lift children up to 50 lbs
