What is Education at Work?
We are a national non-profit organization that is focused around helping students graduate with less debt.  We do this by providing quality contact center and back office positions on behalf of Fortune 500 companies where you can gain valuable career readiness skills, earn an hourly wage, and have the opportunity to earn up to $5,250 each year you work with us in tax-free tuition assistance paid directly to your college or university.

What will you be doing?
First Financial Bank employees are responsible for engaging with customers through a variety of service channels, which may include incoming phone calls, email, social media and/or online chat. First Financial Bank employees are to represent First Financial Bank well by presenting a positive, professional image while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
 
Orientation and equipment pick-up will be held at:

Specific Responsibilities:
- Answer customer inquiries relating to bank products and services through phone, email, social media and online chat. - -
- Recognize sales opportunities and refer clients to sales associates 
- Remain current on products, services, policies, and procedures -
- Resolve customer issues through account research and utilization of support materials and resources 
- Perform customer account transaction and maintenance activities accurately 
- Strive for first contact resolution of customer inquiries, transactions, and problem resolution 
- Escalate customer requests requiring additional knowledge or expertise as defined by department leadership

- Have a proactive mindset - prioritize multiple tasks, ask for help when you need it, work as a team 
- Are patient communicators, comfortable speaking with people over the phone, and possess a passion for helping others 
- Are passionate about providing an extremely high level of customer service 
- Possess strong organizational, planning, and time management skills 
- Showcase empathy, understanding, patience and a good attitude with all clients and customers 
- Can manage multiple projects and maintain consistent interaction with all clients 
- Can perform daily functions while ensuring you are maintaining department and individual goals, as well as call metrics and quality 
- Are team players and prioritize the group over themselves 
- Pay attention to detail 
- Come to work with a professional mindset, this includes punctuality/attendance 
expectations, being receptive to consistent feedback and coaching, and having adaptability with a positive attitude. 
- Will work year-round (around your college classes) - including summer and winter break 
- Will work a minimum of 20 hours per week - with the opportunity to pick up more hours during the school year and to work up to 29 hours per week during school breaks 
-Will work at least 2 hours on 2 weeknight closing shifts until 8 pm ET and will work at least 2 hours on Saturdays.
First Financial Bank Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm ET
Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET
How You Earn Tuition Assistance
On top of your $14/hour wage, you will have the opportunity to earn up to $5,250 in tuition assistance per academic year. We calculate your tuition assistance earnings on four factors: hours you work, your attendance record, your job performance, and your college semester GPA.

Upcoming Training
You'll learn everything you need to know for your day-to-day job in a paid 2-3 week in-person training session. Afterwards, you'll jump into a fully remote after-training schedule you'll create further in the process.

What's Not So Perky About Our Positions
    • We have strict attendance and punctuality expectations - this is a professional job and we'll hold you to that
    • This is a routine phone work position which may be repetitive at times - including back-to-back phone calls and long periods of sitting down
    • Not only do we work around your class schedule, but we also work around all of our students class schedules - this means we don't always have the ability to work around other obligations (club meetings, social events, second jobs, internships, etc.) and expect you to make this job a primary part of your life (second to school - of course)
