POSITION SUMMARY:
The Industry Segment Manager for Semiconductor is responsible for understanding customer and market trends in the Semiconductor industry in North America. This position will work closely with Inside Sales, Outside Sales and Marketing to drive revenue, develop marketing content, and create business development strategies and programs. This position will also be integral in discovering and providing customer insights for the development of new services and products and identifying product and service gaps with the aim of expanding market share.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to achieve Industry Segment revenue goals by developing direct and indirect strategies to engage customers.
- Identifying low penetrated, non-target high potential business in focused Industry Segment customers and generate strategies to grow
- Monitor cross-customer activity and maintain high-level visibility of cross-customer project connections (OEM’s, Sub-assemblies, Contract Manufacturers, Etc.)
- Develop higher level customer relations with senior management (including corporate engagement) to encourage top-down influence
- Engage larger new potential customers directly and/or work with sales team to engage current larger customers to foster continued growth.
- New business development sales visits (direct) and joint current customer visits to build relations and assist with current industry relevant opportunities.
- Provide insight and content as industry subject matter expert for webpage updates, technical and market related publications, email and blog content, lead generating activities, tradeshows among other marketing strategies.
- Work with business units to develop new industry specific products/services into clear, prioritized, strategies and actionable plans.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related area is preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial sales or marketing experience. Experience marketing and/or selling mechanical components to the semiconductor industry is preferred.
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to use CRM software tool in sales cycle and opportunity funnel.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Travel 20-25%, including some overnight.
- Base compensation in the 100-120k range plus incentive and car allowance
