The Industry Relations Coordinator establishes and maintains relationships and facilitates communication and information exchanges between Moda, pharmaceutical, biotechnology corporations, and other vendor partners. Collectively this work is referred to as Industry Relations within health plans and other managed care organizations. This position plays a critical role in gathering highly technical information on newly developed drugs and therapies and presenting that information to the clinical pharmacist to support policy making and formulary development.

Schedule:
  • PST

Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in the health insurance industry or key project management role with a working knowledge of healthcare-related fields preferred.
    1. Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or health promotion/education preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Consistently ensure quality standards and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with project planning tools and methodologies; capable of establishing and managing a project plan from ideation to implementation.
  • Working knowledge of the pharmacy industry, formulary development practices, or the pharmacy benefit development process.
    1. Previous experience or relationships with the pharmacy industry preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

​​Primary Functions:

  • Act as liaison between Moda and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including responding to daily inquiries, organizing, and establishing meetings.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of meetings between the Moda clinical pharmacy team and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including clinical presentations, business development meetings, and ad hoc support meetings.
  • Present information to the clinical pharmacy team and share findings on new drugs, specific areas of pharmacy related research, and other therapeutic developments.
  • Support research and information gathering activities for clinical team; specifically procuring dossiers, manuscripts/publications, posters, abstracts, and other data requests.
  • Disseminate drug related information provided by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitors and analyzes pharmacy and bio-tech industry supply chain, regulatory and policy developments. Summarizes and reports on these developments in support of pharmacy decision making.
  • Assist in project management activities associated with key clinical and pharmacy program initiatives, providing documentation of meeting minutes and key deliverables from project teams.
  • Responsible for tracking and logging specific vendor records, including contracts, policy approvals, contact lists, meet logs, and more.
  • Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders, tracks issues and provides follow up and escalation as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
