Total Water Treatment Systems Inc. is looking to immediately hire a Industrial Service Technician for our Lansing, MI location, with experience working with customers at their location, to perform installation and service maintenance on industrial high purity water treatment systems including water softeners, deionization, reserve osmosis applications, and carbon filtration. This is a career position in a growing industry.

Qualified Candidate should have:
- Excellent customers service skills
- Problem solving capabilities in regards to mechanical aptitude.
- 2-3 years experience in plumbing, electrical, water treatment, mechanical or utility service industry
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
Responsibilities include:
Industrial Service:
- Follows Company Standards for DI Delivery.
- Exchange DI tanks and other portable exchange equipment, including troubleshooting (checking for leaks and equipment operation) during the exchange.
- Provide entry-level support to Industrial Service Technician II (or Industrial Service Manager) during installation, start-up, service maintenance, modification and repair of water purification equipment and systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, filter changes, and sanitizations on systems.
- Communicate with the customer, verbally or in writing, service-related issues, including troubleshooting and diagnosis problems, and recommend the best course of action.
- Ongoing and increasing knowledge of products.
- Follow QSR procedures when applicable.
- Deliver salt when needed.
- Conduct water test when needed.
- Prepare daily logs and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.
- Identify sales opportunities and report to Industrial Sales team.
- On-call/after hours resource for Industrial Service needs.
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes.
- Are prepared for daily work, maintaining inventory of equipment.
- Keep service vehicle and service area in the shop clean and well organized.
- Maintain safety procedures with special attention to lifting limitations and safe driving practices.
- Drive a fork truck. May load and unload product.
- Will work toward restricted plumbers license, in the first year as a learner and then as a licensed Restricted Journeyman Plumber within three years.
Regeneration:
- Follow Company Standards for DI Plant.
- Practice safety procedures including eye and foot protection. Chemical use protection and safe lifting procedures.
- Regeneration. Working with weak base, mixed bed, cation, carbox, Personal Exchange tanks, iron filters, wis cartridges, and bacteria sampling.
- Prepare daily logs, computer data entry and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.
- Follow all QSR procedures as they related to DI regeneration.
- Use reports to track and monitor equipment operations.
- Tag PE, DI, Carbox, and Carbon for proper shelving and identification.
