Industrial Maintenance Technician

Ferti Technologies is a manufacturing company of custom blended fertilizers for a variety of customers based all over the northeast quadrant of the US. The primary role of this position is to maintain our equipment and facilities to ensure 100% uptime in production and a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment. Electrical, plumbing, and good computer skills are a plus. This position requires a person who can lead a project from start to finish with urgency, control costs to maintain a budget, ensure preventative maintenance, and prioritize projects based on the operational health of production. Safety is paramount and the ideal candidate should understand OSHA General Industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the equipment and facility periodically to identify issues, triage projects, and plan and perform any necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules.
• Participate in a weekly meeting to report, plan and schedule projects.
• Train associates on preventative maintenance of production equipment as required.
• Supervise subcontractors during installations, repairs or maintenance on equipment and/or the facility.
• Inspect and maintain building HVAC systems.
• Monitor inventory of materials, equipment and parts.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Experience as Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems - electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.
• Welding (MIG) certification a plus.
• Knowledge and experience maintaining conveyor belts systems and robotic production machinery a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations.
• Understanding of budgets and time management.
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of controllers a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma: Degree from a vocational school will be a plus.
• Professional Certifications (e.g., CMRP or HVAC certified) are a plus.

1st shift - Hourly full time position, overtime available and Incentive Bonus program!

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
