Ferti Technologies is a manufacturing company of custom blended fertilizers for a variety of customers based all over the northeast quadrant of the US. The primary role of this position is to maintain our equipment and facilities to ensure 100% uptime in production and a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment. Electrical, plumbing, and good computer skills are a plus. This position requires a person who can lead a project from start to finish with urgency, control costs to maintain a budget, ensure preventative maintenance, and prioritize projects based on the operational health of production. Safety is paramount and the ideal candidate should understand OSHA General Industry regulations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the equipment and facility periodically to identify issues, triage projects, and plan and perform any necessary maintenance.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules.
- Participate in a weekly meeting to report, plan and schedule projects.
- Train associates on preventative maintenance of production equipment as required.
- Supervise subcontractors during installations, repairs or maintenance on equipment and/or the facility.
- Inspect and maintain building HVAC systems.
- Monitor inventory of materials, equipment and parts.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Experience as Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems - electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.
- Welding (MIG) certification a plus.
- Knowledge and experience maintaining conveyor belts systems and robotic production machinery a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations.
- Understanding of budgets and time management.
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Good computer skills.
- Knowledge of controllers a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma: Degree from a vocational school will be a plus.
- Professional Certifications (e.g., CMRP or HVAC certified) are a plus.
