Hours: 3rd Shift Friday - Monday 7:30pm - 6:00am
Ability to work overtime including extended hours and holidays
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician works with the Maintenance staff to ensure all equipment is in working order.
- Maintains a safe working environment and equipment by following all safety rules, procedures, and regulations, paying special attention to lock out/tag out processes.
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on Distribution Center equipment.
- Maintains accurate and thorough records of all maintenance completed and parts inventory.
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems related to all equipment.
- Maintains a sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently and accurately without compromising safety and quality.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge of low voltage controls, multi-electrical instruments, and 24-480-volt electrical systems required.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment and conveyor system required.
- Previous warehouse or production experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Ability to read and understand diagrams, blueprints, operation manuals, etc.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Frequent periods of bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting to place or obtain merchandise.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.
This job operates in a distribution center/warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures based on outside weather conditions, equipment noises, and flashing notification lights. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as power tools, hand held tools, lift trucks, and ladders.
