Job Description
- Troubleshoots and repairs advanced mechanical issues on all production equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and repair advanced electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues on all production equipment.
- Performs advanced as well as routine preventative maintenance independently on all production equipment and systems to include mechanical, electrical and hydraulics.
- Utilize resources such as equipment manuals to execute more complex repairs; Interface with equipment manufacturers as needed on highly complex equipment or issues.
- Makes process/equipment improvement recommendations to Maintenance Manager.
- Assist with the design, layout and installation of new equipment throughout the facility.
- Responds to on-call emergencies.
- Communicate critical issues to Group Lead and/or Maintenance Manager in a timely manner.
- Orders parts as needed and maintains spare parts inventory.
- Train Mechanical Maintenance Technicians Level I & II in proper preventative maintenance and repair techniques.
- Completes required maintenance documentation in a timely manner which includes work orders, timesheets and parts requests.
- Trains machine operators on daily maintenance procedures.
- Proficiently design, weld and fabricate basic parts to repair equipment.
- Performs general plant, building and grounds maintenance as required.
- Adheres to 6s and safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
