Sunny Sky Products is currently recruiting for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our Chicago, IL facility. This position would be a "day-shift" with a start time near 6AM and scheduled 5 days a week.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED with apprenticeship or certifications in various maintenance disciplines

4-12 years of Industrial Maintenance experience

Must provide own tools

Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude

Excellent trouble shooting skills

Experience with welding/fabrication and being able to ensure it is sanitary.

Knowledge of case erectors, conveyors, mixers, pumps, tape machines, and filling equipment

Job Description

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs complex equipment and distribution systems involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient operation of plant facilities.

• Knowledge of how to safely use hand & power tools.
• Identify production equipment failures before they happen, and perform the necessary work avoiding downtime strategically
• Dismantling, repairing and reassembling production equipment
• Performing work in mechanical skills area such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, and pipe fitting
• Performing minor electrical work such as removing and replacing motors, fuses, and cables; installing conduit; and pulling wire
• Completing routine preventative maintenance tasks
• Generating purchase requisitions for stock items and inventory if necessary
• Perform pre-op inspections of lines between changeovers to reduce downtime
• Demonstrate accuracy in your work and proper paperwork completion
• Able to read and interprets blue print, mechanical and electrical schematics and ladder logic
• Able to handle multiple task with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities
