Luxfer Graphic Arts is the Global Leader in Magnesium Plate and Sheet Technology. We are a manufacturer and supplier of Graphic Arts products, as well as a manufacturer of magnesium sheet and plate. As such, the company has two clear personas; it is a product supplier to Graphic Arts market and end users, and it provides lightweight engineering solutions via the use of magnesium sheet and plate. At our facility we do a casting process that melts down the magnesium which then molds it into slabs. We then use the rolling mill to thin out the slabs of magnesium to meet the customer needs.

Position Purpose:
To maintain the building, building systems and production machinery. A great Electrician is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is a must to perform all tasks with co-workers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools
- Carry out diagnosis and ensure replacement of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic components of equipment and machines which are faulty
- Render assistance and manage contractors' roles for electrical duties
- Render assistance in administration and regulation of the duties of junior technicians
- Organize safe maintenance principles for regulating and scheduling breakdowns.
- Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
- Identify and report unsafe operations.
- Maintain the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- General building maintenance
- Work extended normal working hours when equipment/machines are not operational and necessary to run production
- Complete Preventive Maintenance Items in a timely manner.
- On-Time & Regular Attendance to work
Education and Qualifications:
Electrician Certification Required
- Experience with PLC's, Drives, 480 Volt 3 phase, 4160, 250 Volt DC, reading Blueprints and Troubleshooting
- Must be willing to work Monday-Friday 1st shift (Day Shift)
- Affiliated experience of at least five years with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication ability
- Sufficient familiarity with schematic and electrical, diagrams/illustrations
- Outstanding acquaintance with safety, health, and environment regulations
- Ability to work under stress and ascend stairs and ladders
- Ability to interact well with superiors and subordinates.
- Proven experience as an electrician.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
