Join our team as a Maintenance Welder at Spuncast, a leading company in the manufacturing industry. We are seeking a skilled professional to provide essential welding services in both our maintenance and plant operations. This role is integral to our continuous improvement plan and offers the opportunity for growth and advancement within the company.
We are currently looking for Industrial Maintenance Welder for our:
1st shift - Schedule: 5 am to 1:30 pm Monday- Friday (Saturdays as needed)
Responsibilities- Perform welding services for new dies and repair older dies as needed.
- Provide cutting services on equipment in the plant and those brought to maintenance.
- Fabricate items for use in the plant, offices, and grounds.
- Weld parts for equipment and machinery as required.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel as needed.
- Contribute to Spuncast’s Continuous Improvement Plan by actively participating on appropriate teams.
- Perform other similar or related duties as necessary or assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Additional schooling or certification in welding is strongly desired.
- 3-5 years experience in welding and cutting.
- Proficiency in MIG/TIG and coated electrode welding.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Sound understanding of machinery and factory operations.
- Forklift certification is desired, but we are willing to train for certification.
- Strong math, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in air, carbon arc, and gas cutting equipment.
- Knowledge of metals.
