Industrial Engineer - New Graduate

EPIQORE staffing solutions is partnering with a client in East Dundee, IL to hire a Technical Support/Applications Engineer. The position is full time/direct and our client is in the business of designing and building equipment for hitech end users.

Our client's team will work with you and coach you extensively to learn their products to prepare you for your job as a tech support. There is no prior experience required for this positon.

SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine support activities in the technical support function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a technical liaison, is responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair technical support to company field engineers, technicians, and customers.
• Assesses and responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software.
• May report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering.
• This entry-level position requires knowledge of company product lines and troubleshooting methods.
• May assist Sales Manager and dealers in price quotes, technical questions and product demonstrations.
• Coordinates with Sales, Material Control, and Q.C. on customer queries.
• Collects background data (cost, order history, etc.) to assist in large order negotiations.
• Maintains competitive literature and pricing files for ready reference. Writes application notes.
• Familiarity with PLC’s programming desirable but not required.
• Travel up to 10% of time.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
