Mission:
Support and accelerate the success of progress initiatives for Gatos capacity expansion project by using Michelin Way tools, methods, and approach. Make operational teams autonomous in the long term with regard to managing their progress by ensuring their acceptance of change.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement efficient production methods, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
- Conduct time studies and establish production standards to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives
- Utilize statistical analysis tools to analyze data and identify trends for process optimization
- Installation and evolutions of hrxhr boards
- Detailed (+/- 5%) capacity calculations on presses
- Detailed (2 decimal places) staffing and workload calculations (current, future, transition plan)
- Control (timeline, participants, progress, role clarity, meeting facilitation) of all Gatos project tasks that have a connection to IE
- Define optimized industrial layout in wheels (including material flow, machine placement, material and tooling storage, work area space requirements, material handling systems)
- Define requirements for interfaces, calculations and processes for MES for all machines Gatos project scope
- Create a capacity plan for the decommissioning, movement and commissioning of all machines in the Gatos project scope
- Define standard unit times of all machines in the Gatos project scope
- Prioritize and engage Wheels cell team to make immediate performance improvements
- Daily follow-up
- Detailed plan and schedule for projects.
- Time Management.
- Ability to create or use complex tools to analyze data.
Mandatory Requirement:
- Completed Bachelors degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States, in either Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering role
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- Ability to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
