Job Description

  • Implementing and maintaining IE master data for production planning and cost controlling in manufacturing systems. Design and apply logic for the rule-based decision-making system to define production standard times for the complete process chain of the tire manufacturing from the raw material to the finished tire.
  • Analyze and prepare data for short-, mid- and long-term capacity, production and personnel planning.
  • Evaluates the effect of the improvement measures on process cost. Analyze and calculate individual saving per tire related with material and process improvements from change of the recipes or process parameters. Coordinate the tracking of cost improvement measures towards achievement of company goals.
  • Prepare monthly capacity, efficiency and other KPI reports to support decision making by local and central management.
  • Design and develop reports in Microsoft analytics tools to support shop floor teams with analysis, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
  • Managing the IE master data as local key user, in sequencing and execution systems (SAP PP, CGMS; MMS/SFE).
  • Perform Business Acceptance tests for IE system developments. Manage and train systems users in the plant.
  • Participate in the Continental Tire IE worldwide network for systems and contribute to development and testing of the IE system tools and standardization of master data structure and knowledge / experience transfer. Coordinating local requirements with Central Key User and the Competence Center, supporting problem solving for functional user questions.
  • Coordinate plant local investment program by collecting and prioritizing of investment requirements. Initiate and coordinate management approval process. Maintain mid and long-term investment plans in purpose designed system by Continental Tire.

Qualifications
  • Dipl. Engineer (Master/Bachelor) - Engineering (preferable IE) or production management
  • 2 years of tire manufacturing experience, understanding details of the whole tire manufacturing process chain and parameters that impact the efficiency of the manufacturing process
  • 2 years of experience in the area of Industrial Engineering in manufacturing facility
  • 2 years of experience with preparation of operator’s work instructions with focus on achieving of highest process efficiency; work measurement, standard time and machine capacity determination
  • 2 years of experience with projects for process improvements including calculation of cost saving benefits
  • 2 years of managing, decision making and problem solving of production execution information systems with knowledge in parametrization of decision tables, creation of work centers and formulas for the complete process of tire manufacturing.
  • 2 years managing of investment budget in production facility with focus on prioritization based on potential improvement achieved by investment
  • 2 years of experience with production capacity planning, resource planning e.g. equipment and headcount.
  • 2 years implementing improvement process managing Industrial Engineering and lean manufacturing tools with focus on increasing the efficiency of the process in tire manufacturing.
  • 2 years of experience calculating KPI’s of process improvement including the efficiency in each stage in the manufacture of tires and preparing reports managing digital tools.
  • 2 years of experience with customized systems from SAP, IBM and Microsoft for production performance tracking, capacity planning and cost calculation
