Founded in 1933, Champion Industrial Contractors, Inc., located in Modesto, CA has nearly a century of experience successfully completing numerous educational, healthcare, food and beverage, commercial, industrial, hospitality, and public works projects. Our 67,000 S.F. fabrication facility is centrally located in the central valley of California and houses HVAC ductwork, refrigeration, specialty sheet metal, plumbing, process piping and industrial prefabrication operations. Champion Industrial also provides 24/7 emergency service repairs and is a trusted source for equipment preventative maintenance. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Industrial Engineer will support the operations team by assessing, monitoring, and enhancing business performance for the organization. This will range from analyzing current practices, developing business process improvements, proposing, and implementing changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance. The position will receive world class training in LEAN / KAIZEN Methodologies and be mentored by experts in six sigma and other continuous improvement tools and processes. This role will report to the COO and provide support in betterment of the organizations' key tracked metrics and suggested improvements based on data driven decisions. Our ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, an enthusiasm for digging deep into the metrics of various operations and a passion for ownership and problem solving. RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Identifying process enhancement strategies.
Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
Support standardization of Champions' standards of company performance.
Monitoring departmental performance and organizational processes.
Collaborating with cross departmental stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction.
Communicating ideas and opinions to other members of management.
Managing staff training, cohorts, and teams of various sizes.
Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes.
Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, business administration, or operations & supply chain logistics
1-5 years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
Familiar with manufacturing, fabrication, supply chain, or repair processes
A sharp eye for identifying weak points in processes and organizational structures.
A strategic and analytical mindset.
An excellent communicator with top-notch presentation skills.
Understanding of technical writing and terminology around instructions.
Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate messages of change through logic and influence.
