Our client is looking to add an Industrial Electrician to their team. This job is a traveling position and offers a strong comp plan with per diem. You can be located anywhere, but the company HQs is in Metro Atlanta.

Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Department: Maintenance / Engineering

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Industrial Engineering Manager

Position Overview:

The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for the electrical maintenance and repair of the company's industrial equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and machinery within an industrial setting, demonstrating a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment and controls, including but not limited to motors, sensors, conveyors, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

· Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to construction equipment and machinery.

· Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records to help facilitate routine inspections.

· Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

· Collaborate with operations teams to understand their electrical requirements and provide solutions for improved efficiency and productivity.

· Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes, company policies, and OSHA safety standards.

· Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

· Assist in the installation of new industrial equipment and perform electrical modifications as necessary.

· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operation and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.

· Maintain electrical parts inventory and company-required documentation, including logs for repairs, maintenance, and safety activities.

· Mentor and guide junior electricians or apprentices, providing on-the-job training as required.

· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure a cohesive working environment.

Industrial Electrician Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant trade school or apprenticeship program completion preferred.

· Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician.

· Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.

· Experience with electrical systems, tools, equipment, codes, and safety procedures.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.

· Working knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC drives, and control systems.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex electrical issues.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, climb, bend, and lift heavy equipment as needed.

· Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as necessary.

Certifications:

· Valid electrician license or certification as required by state regulations.

· Additional certifications from recognized industry organizations like the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) are a plus.
