Industrial Electrical/Maintenance Mechanic-to 37/hr-2 shifts open!!

Location: Dayton, NJ

Pay:33-37/hr

1st shift (8am-8pm, 3 on 2 off)

2nd shift (8pm-8am, 3 on 2 off)

A global leader in solutions and services across the packaging lifecycle, providing large and small metal, plastic, fiber, and hybrid packaging worldwide is looking for a qualified Electrician/Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join their highly successful team in Dayton, NJ.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.
• Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.
• Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing environment working with heavy equipment. Required
• Complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting. required
• Strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code. Required
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair Production and Facility electrical and mechanical equipment. Required
• Knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems. Required
• Ability to read and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, and equipment service manuals. Required
• Injection Molding for plastic packaging for industrial use is preferred.
• Electrician's License is preferred.
