Job Description
We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our maintenance team.
$2,000 sign on bonus plus a weekly production bonus (based on production for the week)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support production operations by performing preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of steel deck production equipment, as well as repairs and maintenance of facility.
Essential Duties:
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical/mechanical systems.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment - overhead cranes, roll formers, press brakes and resistance welders.
- Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment.
- Comply with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program
- Perform general building repairs and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience in welding and fabricating.
- Knowledge of overhead cranes, bearings, hydraulics, electrical panels (120V, 240V, 480V) and electric motors and drives
- Ability to read measuring devices, electrical testing, equipment, and have basic math skills.
- Industrial electrical knowledge.
- Experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- Have PLC knowledge/experience.
- Must have basic knowledge of lock out / tag out and PPE.
- Licensed electrician, preferred.
- Dedication to continual education
- Ability to pass aptitude test
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle objects, tools, controls and reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must have normal color vision.
Work Environment
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts;
- Work may be performed in high places and/or in outside weather conditions.
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
