Job Description
We are looking for a Industrial Designerwho is responsible for designing and animating 3D models, graphics, videos, etc. Operate Computer Aided (CAD) and/or Solid Works computer software, designing park and playground equipment including creating, updating and modifying drawings for sales, engineering, factory production, and/or customer use.
Applicant must have a visual understanding of color, composition, imagery, and topography as to meet client needs. Furthermore, applicant must understand that project management and time management to meet deadlines are crucial and have experience in meeting client demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Development of film-like animations and videos: Drawing storyboards
- Create 3-Dimensional Models and work with lighting, texture, and shades
- Manipulate and understand 3D software – 3D Max, Metal Ray/V-Ray, Rhino, and other 3D software.
- Be well versed in various compositing software including Adobe After Effects, Photoshop
- Translate client and business needs to visual engaging and effective motion graphics and presentations
- Communicate workflow, lighting, compositing & visual issues through written and visual notes
- Be able to ‘code’ commensurate to 3D computer graphic needs
- Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
Required: The applicant must have Auto CAD experience. 3D modeling experience. Knowledge of Solidworks would be preferred.
Desirable: Experience in visually stunning displays and animations for client presentations. Adobe After Effects is desirable. Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel a strong plus.
Work experience in a manufacturing work environment preferred.
Travel
Up to 25% between our Franklin, TN and Corporate offices in Carrollton, GA for training.
Computer Skills
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
Required: The applicant must have 3D modeling experience, preferably 500 hours plus in 3-D studio Max, Metal-Ray/V-Ray. Desirable: Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel a strong plus.
