Are you seeking a new position as an Industrial Construction Quality Assurance Manager? We have potential upcoming opportunities for dynamic individuals to join our Field Services team, based on site multiple sites across Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. You will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance Program and Documentation for the owner-led Construction Management on projects up to $800M. These are full-time positions and you will report into the Construction Manager, working directly with the client.

Compensation: $71,000 - $142,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead Quality management and documentation, collaboratively working with Engineering Service Providers, construction contractors, contract partners, and any designated 3rdparties on the projects, throughout the Construction execution of the project.
  • Develop a Special Inspections plan and schedule and coordinate inspections and documentation.
  • Manage Building Official, Fire Marshal, and other governmental personnel to perform permit required inspections and approvals.
  • Develop a Quality Assurance plan to include all phases of work including pipe welding and hydrotest documentation, electrical testing requirements, instrument loop check documentation, etc. to facilitate the commissioning and turn over process.
  • Develop a diverse group of individuals from multiple companies into an effective team all focused on implementing the projects successfully.
  • Drive safety performance, Construction Quality and construction cost effectiveness adopting lean / fit-for-purpose construction inspections processes during construction phase.
  • Coordinate with Planners/Schedulers to ensure that Inspection Hold Points are included in the construction schedule. Monitor schedule for inspection hold points to forecast inspection needs.
  • Strategically plan and lead the Quality Assurance scope for multi-discipline construction projects so they deliver optimum capital solutions.
  • Assure competent and experienced resources are assigned from our contract partners.
  • Assure safety, schedule, quality of work, cost performance and change management on all inspection activities on the project.
  • Oversee and manage contractors’ performance for quality and completeness for sequential turnover of packages as per the commissioning plan.
  • Provide input on equipment and materials receiving and inspection at the construction site.
  • Ensure quality requirements are defined, validate and implement appropriate project Quality Assurance / Quality Control plan and Metrics for the assigned project and that the deliverables meet user’s expectations.
  • Review and approve Special Inspections contractor invoicing of completed work.
  • Ensure all Construction Quality processes of the projects being managed, strictly adhering to applicable codes and standards and the client's specifications .
  • Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issues and addresses those issues as necessary to ensure zero harm to all employees, clients, contractors with zero environmental incidents.
  • Ability to be badged for a process safety management governed facility which requires in depth drug screening.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering related degree, or equivalent experience with 8-12 years of Construction Quality management experience on green field projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing Quality Assurance for large construction / installation projects or concurrently on multiple small / medium projects per year.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), outlook, share point, etc.
  • Broad understanding of multi-product Industrial Manufacturing facility, safety requirements on activities that are necessary to construct and start-up plants.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Job duties will generally be performed at a Client’s office, client site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Day to day job direction will typically be lead by our Clients designated project leader.
  • Conditions and/or schedule will vary at each Client location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
  • Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
