Form of workRambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptionalIndirect Procurement Manager to join our team. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to enable development of products that make data faster and safer. This role will be part of a global procurement organization with a mission to drive category strategy across Rambus, be the trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, and be the professional external representative for Rambus to the supply base. Cost reduction will be a critical KPI, but the individual in this role will also be expected to influence the direction of the organization, improve overall TCO of indirect supply, help improve profit margin of all current and future Rambus products, and exemplify effectiveness, strategic thinking, and relationship management.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of the development and implementation of multiple Indirect Procurement category strategies, including IT hardware and software, EDA software, 3rd party IP, design services, and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiation and supplier relationship
- Help improve and drive best in class procurement processes and drive strategic initiatives aligned with corporate goals
- Manage supplier performance & conduct supplier evaluation including action plans in key areas of Cost, Technology, Reliability, Assurance of Supply, Quality, etc.
- Lead supplier management processes for identification, qualification and performance management of global strategic supplier base including new supplier development
- Partner with, and guide business owners with activities including, but not limited to identifying the procurement requirements, developing RFI/RFPs, selecting and onboarding suppliers
- Lead price negotiations and work with the legal and business owners to review commercial agreements
- Collaborate with internal teams, including business units, finance, legal, engineering, and management for escalation issues
- Analyze and leverage data analytics to enable business and procurement strategies aligned to business priorities
- At least 10 years experience in procurement, and at least 5 years of relevant experience negotiating contracts related to IT hardware and software, EDA software, 3rd party IP, and design services
- A good understanding of the semiconductor market and semiconductor manufacturing process
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering or similar field of study
- A strong interest in negotiation and willingness to engage in critical conversations and complex problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group internally and externally

The US salary range for this full-time position is $99,800.00 to $185,400.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
