The Incoming Receiving Quality Inspector reviews and performs various quality inspections of aluminum parts during the receiving process
Reports to: Quality Team Lead
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Understand internal and external specification requirements that meet Nadcap, AS9100D, customer requirements, and company standards.
  • Accurately complete all required documents and logs.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. Flexibility with schedule.
  • Assists with upholding department 5S standards throughout the day and at the end of shift, including emptying trash and recycling bins and cleaning
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Follows paperwork flow, QA and Shop Floor policies and procedures
  • Maintains neat, legible handwriting

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred experience of one-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Ability to observe details in order to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to understand various measurement systems and how to convert between them.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to look up appropriate tables and charts for necessary time/temperature.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database/software program.
