About the Team:
We are hiring a talented Incident Response Analyst to join us. As an IR analyst, you will analyze and research ongoing incidents and emerging threats in modern SaaS platforms. You will work as a subject matter expert in collaboration with engineering teams, customer teams, and partners to secure customers' SaaS environments. You are expected to work innovatively and are fully empowered to drive positive change across teams to make an impact in improving overall SaaS security.
About the Role:
- Analyze and report on customer incidents in SaaS environments using the Obsidian Security platform
- Perform proactive threat hunts to identify threats within customer SaaS environments.
- Identify new detection opportunities from real world customer incidents
- Produce research reports and threat briefings for customers and IR partners to drive awareness of SaaS threats.
- Drive positive product outcomes through cross-functional collaboration with other functional teams, across engineering, product, marketing, etc.
- Build relationships across multiple Incident Response partners and enable their success within the Obsidian Security platform
About You:
- Passion for cybersecurity
- Extensive experience in analyzing application logs, writing Incident Response reports, and communicating cybersecurity risks to multiple levels of the business (executive,management, practitioners)
- Experience in threat hunting and detection engineering
- Experience in offensive security like red-team
- Experience in leading analysis of large datasets for threat-detection
- Experience applying threat intelligence methodologies in threat detection problem space
- Experience in SaaS security or cloud security
- Certified by cybersecurity institutions such as GIAC, ISC2, and/or ISACA

- Base Pay Range: $150k - $165k per year
Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards [and incentive compensation] based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
